Long ago the psalmist penned words so true of God’s provision until time as we know it shall end: “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119:105). Such illumination is desperately needed “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord" (Isaiah 55:8). Friend, we must neither give lip service to God nor to the admonition given through Solomon to “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5). The question of the hour is this: Are you and I really willing to follow Jesus wherever He leads us? Are we willing to count the cost and pay the price to be His disciple? A world renowned preacher once admitted that if he taught the truth that he would lose his following. He had a choice to make: on the one hand he could stand up for Jesus and be a real disciple, and be exalted by God; or, on the other, he could conceal the truth and preach it like the masses wanted it, and be lifted up by men.
