Ordinarily, the trip for
the two of us combined costs about $8,000 or a
little more; in these times, we can be sure that the travel there and back will
cost at least that much and probably more. To date, we have laid aside about
$1,200 for this trip. We must rely on the genoros-ity of individual Christians
and congregations as we collect the balance of the funds necessary to make this
mission trip.
We must assemble the
rest of the needed funds immediately, since the tickets must be purchased
before applications can be made for the visas, and ticket prices are climbing
by hundreds of dollars each week. Bonnie and I respectfully ask churches of
Christ and members of the churches of Christ to participate financially with us
