was born in 1970 in Galax, VA. His father, Jimmy Canup, is also a Gospel preacher. Tim began preaching part-time for a congregation in Salisbury, NC in 1997, and in August of 1999, he enrolled in the West Virginia School of Preaching. Tim is married to the former Cindy Kendrick and currently resides in Moundsville, WV.
